My favourite memory with Mr Monk was the Albania PDW experience. The trip itself was so amazing (I would highly recommend) as were the fundraising activities such as International Day and Sponsored Bike Ride! He is the only Headmaster/Principal I have known at the High School and my experience here would have been completely different without him. Assemblies are so fun with his leadership, especially the Christmas, Halloween and end of school specials! Although I’m sad Mr Monk will be leaving the ISZL family, I’m happy that he will at least be here until I graduate! I will miss him and the other teachers a lot when I go to University.

For being a lad of a principle. I’m glad I got to have been in high school with you as my principle for the past two years. You will be missed for always keeping ISZL’s image on the rails.

It all started with the secret Santa; you gave me the mug and a mirror with a note alongside it. You told me to look into that mirror everyday and find one thing to smile at. Even though it seemed kind of dumb, it stuck with me. When I woke up the next day I realized, without doing anything other than be who I am, I’m already happy. Your ability of making me and everyone around you embrace themselves as who they are and pick out what makes us special is astounding. You truly are one of a kind. Even now when I’m going through a slightly less uplifting period of time, you still message me everyday to check up on me and do your bit to put a smile on my face. And every single day, you manage to do so. Thank you so much for being who you are. I know I’m anonymous, but you can do a bit of the problem solving we’re so good at, to figure out who I am. Thank you.

I thank you for letting my whole IB Chemistry class get killed during the lockdown drill. What a kind service to leave the door open!
