Tutor Group Organizes Gr.11 Soccer Tournament!

Instead of the average PSHE session, this Thursday morning the 11th graders participated in a soccer tournament hosted by one of the tutor groups. This tutor group was Ms.Wilsons, also known as the ‘Wilsonators’. They created this event because their home room sponsors a girl called Eunice in Kenya at the Ratta School. Roughly 200 francs was raised and this money will contribute to her school and living costs. Georgia, one member of Ms.Wilsons tutor group said, “Luckily this year we had good weather with some excellent games. We had cheerleaders on the sidelines supporting their home room. This short tournament was great fun and went very smoothly.”

The beautiful thing about this tournament was not merely that students were able to play in soccer games that had the perfect combination of competitiveness and fun, but also that the rest of the grade was able to come along and support. Everyone wore the color that their team was assigned, and for some people this took the form of animal onesies. Regardless of costume, everyone in our grade was able to enjoy this hour off from the pressure of doing work and meeting deadlines. Georgia thanks all the 11th graders for their contributions to Eunice, and the 11th grade thanks Ms.Wilson’s tutor group for an excellently organized tournament!
